A new development in the case has emerged a day after the husband of a lady claimed in a social media video that she used his funds to put Ludo bets. The woman, Renu, apparently gambled on herself because she didn’t have any money and lost to her landlord, and she told the police that her husband has a gambling addiction.
After losing a game of Ludo to her landlord in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, the woman, who was allegedly addicted to the game, moved in with him. Umesh, the wife’s husband, who works in Jaipur, has reported the incident to the police. He moved to Jaipur for work six months ago, claims the allegation. His wife, a Ludo addict, is accused of gambling away all the money he earned at home.
However, the woman has now asserted that she is not a gambler and that her husband is, which has led the police to start looking for the complainant.
“My husband is addicted to gambling. I don’t have any such habits. I am a domestic help by profession and work hard to make ends meet,” the woman told the police.
