UPMSP UP Board:: In the upcoming academic session, the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UPBSE) is set to administer a total of 11 examinations within a span of 10 months. The academic calendar for secondary schools this year incorporates descriptive, multiple-choice, and practical examinations, with a heightened focus on environmental and digital learning aspects. Additionally, computer training will be made compulsory for all students.
Once again, the “New Session, New Dawn” campaign is underway in UPBSE-affiliated schools. Alongside technical education, students will also be imparted lessons on patriotism, moral education, and environmental conservation. The session, which commenced in April, will see a total of 11 examinations conducted across UPBSE schools.
Teachers are now entrusted with a dual responsibility. Besides academic instruction, schools are also tasked with organizing various sports, arts, and social activities. Consequently, allocating time for both teaching and exam preparation poses a challenge.
Key highlights of the new academic calendar include:
- A designated 15-minute slot for prayer assemblies daily.
- Daily presentation of motivational quotes.
- Recognition of the best quote presenter at the end of each month.
Furthermore, every school will establish an environmental club, with students selected as environmental ambassadors.
Additionally, teachers will be provided with diaries, wherein they can record daily tasks, plans, and suggestions. Similarly, students will be given diaries to provide feedback related to their studies.
Registration on the “Wings” portal for career guidance
All students from classes 9 to 12 in secondary schools will receive career guidance. Mandatory registration of all students on the “Wings” portal of the Secondary Education Department has been directed. Based on students’ abilities and aptitudes, they will receive guidance from various experts directly in schools.
“The new session has commenced in schools. Admission procedures are ongoing alongside studies. Examination arrangements are an integral part of the education system and will be conducted transparently and efficiently,” said Avadh Kishor Singh, District School Inspector.
