Uttar Pradesh: Days after the horrific Kanjhawala tragedy in Delhi, another similar incidence from Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, where a student was hit by a speeding car and dragged for approximately a kilometre, was brought to light. Ketan was riding his bicycle to his coaching when he was struck by a speedy car. His leg got caught in the rear guard of the vehicle, and he was dragged for nearly a kilometre.

Locals helped the boy in rescue

Locals were successful in stopping the vehicle and free the trapped student from the guard. The car driver was pulled and assaulted by the enraged onlookers. As soon as they arrived, the police calmed the crowd and arrested the driver. At a medical school, the injured student is getting treatment.

Vikas Jaiswal CO Baghauli, Hardoi said “Due to a collision between a cycle and a car in Kotwali city area, the cyclist’s leg got stuck in the car and he was dragged for some distance. The minor victim has been admitted to hospital and the car driver is taken into custody.”

Additionally, the police stated that the procedure will be followed in taking legal action against the accused person.

Similar with the Delhi incident

This is the second such instance to come to light this week, the first being the gruesome death of a woman in Sultanpuri, Delhi, who was dragged by a car on the eve of the new year for a distance of a few kilometres. On Friday, two more persons were detained by the Delhi Police in line with the Sultanpuri incident, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to seven.
