Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during a public address, raised concerns over a recent resolution passed in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly proposing the restoration of Article 370, a provision he claims was the “root cause of terrorism.” Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, was abrogated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 5, 2019, as part of a historic reorganization of the region.

Calls for Clarity on Support for the Article That He Calls the “Root Cause of Terrorism”

Referring to the resolution, Adityanath urged opposition parties, specifically the Congress and the Samajwadi Party, to clarify their positions and publicly address where they stand on this issue. “Congress and Samajwadi Party should clarify their position and speak on this resolution of Jammu and Kashmir assembly,” he remarked, implying that a clear stance was necessary to determine their alignment with or against Article 370’s restoration.
