Uttar Pradesh: Fire broke out in Durga Puja Pandal in Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi, three people, including two children, were killed and more than 50 people were scorched. DM Gaurang Rathi told that two children of 12 years and 10 years and a woman of 45 years have died in the incident.
The injured people have been sent to a nearby hospital for treatment. While some seriously injured patients have been referred to Varanasi, According to the information received, around 200 people were present in the pandal at the time of the incident.

Fire broke out due to short circuit
The fire broke out due to a short circuit during Aarti’s program. However, nothing can be said with certainty about the cause of the fire, which is fixed after the completion of the investigation. According to the information so far in the incident, more than 50 people have been scorched. Of these, 32 people have been referred to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. A woman injured in the incident told that the fire started due to spark coming out of the electric wire. Investigation has also started regarding this whole incident.

Bhadohi District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi told that the incident is of a Durga pandal located in Aurai town. Around 200 people were present in the pandal during the incident. Aarti’s program was going on, during this time there is a report of fire due to short circuit. According to the information so far in the incident, 52 people have been scorched. Out of these, more than 32 people have been referred to big hospitals in other cities including Varanasi. So far one child has been reported dead in this incident. The injured have also been admitted to different hospitals.
