Uttar Pradesh: A man in Azamgarh district has been arrested for the killing of a woman, who was reportedly his ex-girlfriend, and the chopped her body into six parts, according to the news agency PTI. This case bears an uncanny resemblance to the Delhi murder case of Shraddha Walker.
The victim’s body was found in a well near the village of Paschimi on November 15, which is when the tragedy was discovered. According to Azamgarh SP Anurag Arya, the body was identified as Aradhana and was discovered in a semi-naked state. It appeared to be two to three days old.
Accused Because Aradhana had married someone else earlier this year, Prince Yadav had intended to murder her with the help of his parents, cousin Sarvesh, and other family members.
According to the PTI report, Yadav drove his bike with Aradhana to a temple on November 9. When he got there, he and Sarvesh strangled her in a field of sugarcane. The woman’s body was then allegedly sliced into six pieces, placed in a polythene bag, and dumped into a well, according to police.
The cousins threw Aradhana’s head into a pond some distance away.
At the location where he was taken for the recovery of the woman’s head, Yadav got into a fight with the police and was shot earlier in the day. Yadav, who was arrested on Saturday, reportedly kept a country-made pistol hidden there and used it against police to flee from custody.

In connection with the case, police have so far recovered the pistol, a sharp instrument, and a cartridge.
According to PTI, Sarvesh and other Yadav family members who are suspected of assisting him in the crime are still at large.
This episode occurred shortly after Shraddha’s horrifying death in Delhi by her live-in partner Aaftab Amin Poonawala. He allegedly sawed her body into at least 35 pieces and strangled her by sitting on her chest. After keeping the fragments in his apartment’s refrigerator for over three weeks, Aaftab dumped them in wooded areas around the nation’s capital.
