Uttar Pradesh: Three persons died when a large fire broke out at the Madhuraj Hospital in Agra, including a building owner and his two children. The fire is suspected to be caused due to short circuit.
The doctor and his children, who resided on the first floor of the hospital, were stranded inside while the patients were successfully evacuated. Owner of the hospital Rajan (45), his daughter Shalu (17), and his son Rishi have been named as the deceased (14).
“The family of the hospital’s proprietor slept on the top floor. Investigation is ongoing into the suffocation deaths of the owner, his daughter, and son “Vikas Kumar from SP City in Agra said.

According to City Vikas Kumar, Superintendent of Police, the fire started on the building’s first floor in the Naripura neighbourhood at around 5:30 am. In the city’s Shahganj neighbourhood, a residence was just over the hospital.
“The private hospital’s proprietor and his family lived on the first floor, while the facility’s operations took place on the ground floor. In the tragedy, three individuals died, but two are safe and being treated at the hospital” said Kumar.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, sent condolences and ordered the police and district magistrate to arrive quickly to ensure that those injured are treated properly.
The CMO stated, “A proper investigation is being performed to uncover information about the registration of hospital in residential premises”.
