Around one in the morning on Sunday, Kaushal’s brother Amit called a bystander to let him know about the accident. Amit’s complaint has reportedly led to the opening of a case, and an investigation is currently under way, according to officials. An officer said, “We are looking through the neighbourhood CCTVs to discover the offender.” Only a few hours later, a 20-year-old woman in Delhi was struck by a car and dragged for almost 13 kilometres.

When Anjali Singh’s naked body with several injuries was eventually found on the side of the road on New Year’s Day, it shocked the entire nation. As the car’s occupants continued from Sultanpuri, where they had crashed with her scooter, to Jonti hamlet near Kanjhapura, one of the males ultimately discovered her hand sticking out from below the car. The dragging tore her clothing.
The five males were taken into custody and accused of reckless driving, causing death by negligence, and “culpable homicide not amounting to murder.” They apparently admitted to being intoxicated when the incident happened.
