Uttar Pradesh: A 25-year-old man has been detained in connection with the alleged rape of a college student in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, who later died from massive internal bleeding. The man, Raj Gautam, allegedly sexually assaulted her when she was home alone.
Man took energy enhancing pills
The man has admitted that he took a energy-enhancing drug before the crime. Despite her protests, the girl was repeatedly raped until she fainted and began bleeding from her privates, according to the authorities. When Gautam noticed this, he became alarmed and fled, leaving her bleeding.
As per the police, when her younger sister later went back home, she discovered the victim unconscious on the bed. She was brought to the hospital, where the staff certified her dead. Post-mortem reports again confirmed the rape.
Girl died due to excessive bleeding
According to the authorities, she died as a result of excessive bleeding brought on by a significant injury to her privates.
The victim’s father had originally claimed that a 65-year-old woman and a neighbour were responsible. However, Gautam was detained as a result of information from the victim’s cell phone.
Superintendent of Police Siddhartha Shankar said that, “Gautam confessed that after knowing that the victim was alone, he went to her house and raped her which caused severe bleeding from her private parts. On seeing this, Gautam fled the spot.”
