Andhra Pradesh News: In the town of Srikalahasti in Andhra Pradesh, a female police officer started a fight by striking a Jana Sena Party (JSP) supporter on Wednesday. When opposition party supporters staged a protest in Srikalahasti town in Tirupati district, Circle Inspector (CI) Anju Yadav publicly smacked the JPS employee. On social media, a video showing a female police officer striking a member of actor Paan Kalyan’s party went viral.
Female Police Officer Strikes JSP Supporter Amid Effigy Burning Protest
With both of her hands, the CI was seen hitting the male. When JSP supporters attempted to burn an effigy of Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as part of a protest against his comments about their leader Pawan Kalyan, police intervened. Police officers and the demonstrators got into an argument that got very heated.
Fight Breaks Out Between Opposing Sides, Several Demonstrators Detained
Additionally, there was a fight between the two sides. Police detained a few demonstrators. The JSP leaders have criticised the police official’s actions. They claimed she behaved like a YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) employee.
