According to reports, the officer was posted at Parikshitgarh police station in Meerut, and he can be spotted taking money from an unidentified person relating to a case. The video, since then, has caused severe concern within the police department and among the public.

Meerut Police sprang into action over the viral clip and suspended the officer concerned, initiating a departmental inquiry. Confirming this in a statement published on the official X handle of Meerut Police, they said the inquiry had been assigned to the Superintendent of Police-Rural. The police maintained that they were taking the matter quite seriously and were committed to uncovering the full details of the incident.
