Weather Update: The monsoon season persists across multiple states in the nation. The Meteorological Department forecasts the likelihood of substantial to extremely heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh over the upcoming two days. Concurrently, regions such as Bihar, Bengal, Sikkim, and Northeast India are anticipated to encounter heavy downpours, impacting daily life for the subsequent three days. In the Southern parts of India, consistent rain patterns are expected to persist for the following six to seven days.
Regarding the weather outlook for Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, the Meteorological Department anticipates intense rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh from August 23 to 25. Furthermore, an alert for heavy rain has been announced for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and northeastern Rajasthan on August 23.
Weather Forecast Of Bihar And Jharkhand
Moving to the Bihar and Jharkhand region, the Meteorological Department’s predictions indicate the possibility of substantial to extremely heavy rains on August 23 and 24. In central India, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh face the potential for heavy rainfall. Simultaneously, Eastern India, encompassing sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar, might experience heavy rain from August 23 to 26.
Meteorological Department anticipates significant rainfall in Gangetic West Bengal
Looking at the weather forecast for Odisha and Bengal, the Meteorological Department anticipates significant rainfall in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha between August 23 and 25. In Northeast India, the Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh over the next five days. In South India, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are expected to receive heavy rainfall.
Notably, the Meteorological Department has declared a red alert for rain in most Uttarakhand districts on Wednesday, prompting the administration to maintain vigilance for 24 hours. Among these districts, eight are under a red alert, including Dehradun, and two districts have been issued an orange alert. These projections remain subject to change, underscoring the importance of staying updated through local meteorological sources.
