Jewar Airport: The much awaited International Airport in Jewar is almost ready to open, most likely during the next Lok Sabha elections, with construction progress having surpassed 75%. The airport is expected to be operational in the next two to three months due to the completion of both the runways and the essential Air Traffic Control (ATC) infrastructure.
Dhirendra Singh’s Insights
Dhirendra Singh, a Jewar MLA, discussed the matter and provided information regarding the airport’s construction projects. “The pivotal Air Traffic Control (ATC) infrastructure is also in place. From July onwards, the airport will witness the full functioning of two state-of-the-art radars signaling a significant enhancement of the airport’s operational capability. Initially, this advancement is expected to allow the scheduling of 50 flights a day,” Singh said.
Regulatory Announcement
Concurrently, the project’s governing organisation, Noida International Airport Limited, declared that long-distance flying regulations will go into effect on April 25. In Lucknow, a recent review discussion was held regarding the future Jewar airport, which is expected to grow to be the largest in Asia and the fourth largest in the world.
All relevant parties were present at the meeting, including executives working on the airport’s development as well as high-ranking officials like the CEO of the Industries Development Authority, Additional Chief Secretary of the Civil Aviation Department, and Minister of Industrial Development.
Potential Rise in Property Values in Greater Noida
Speaking about the project’s financials, Singh stated that a budget of Rs 10,000 crore was allocated for the first phase, of which around Rs 7,371 crore has been spent. “The terminal building’s construction is almost finished. Two radars will be deployed in July, which will enable aircraft to be aided by radar. The next stage of work should start shortly,” Singh continued.
After Jewar International Airport is completed, property values in Greater Noida should rise. Prices will rise as a result of the airport’s increased demand for both commercial and residential real estate. The expansion of the airport will also increase demand for upscale housing as developers begin to build projects that meet international standards and have facilities.
