The water level of Yamuna River was found to be stable on Thursday and is expected to reduce in four days, as per the Central Water Commission. The water level at the Old Railway Bridge rose to 208.62 metres at 1 pm and has been stable since then. A CWC official said that the water level is expected to drop to 208.45 meters by 3 am on Friday. The drop was recorded after the rate of water flow at the Hathnikund barrage dropped to 80,000 cusecs at 4 pm.

After the water level crossed the danger mark, several low-lying areas near the Yamuna river were found to be affected, leading to water logging an traffic jams.
LG holds meeting
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Thursday chaired the meeting which also saw the presence of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, revenue minister Atishi and irrigation and flood control minister Saurabh Bhardwaj to carry out the rescue work. The meeting also saw the presence of NDRF, CWC, and IMD.
