Yogi Adityanath Death Threat: A chilling message recently reached the Mumbai Police, threatening Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath with death if he didn’t step down. The threat stated that Adityanath would “meet the same fate as Baba Siddiqui,” a late NCP leader who was murdered in Maharashtra. With the Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024 approaching, this incident raises questions about its impact on Adityanath’s campaign plans and the election’s outcome.
24-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Threat Against Yogi Adityanath
Mumbai Police arrested a 24-year-old woman named Fatima Khan for allegedly sending the death threat to Yogi Adityanath. Media reports states that Fatima lives in Ulhasnagar, Thane district, and comes from a well-off family. Her father works in the timber business. While she holds a BSc in Information Technology, police suspect that mental health issues may have influenced her actions. Authorities are investigating her motives, especially given recent threats against other high-profile figures in Mumbai.
Rising Death Threat Cases in Maharashtra: A Growing Concern
The threat against Yogi Adityanath comes amid a worrying trend of rising death threats in Maharashtra. Notably, actor Salman Khan has also been targeted. He received threats demanding large sums of money. In one instance, a message warned that Salman Khan would face severe consequences if he did not pay up.
Baba Siddiqui’s Murder Adds Gravity to the Threat Against Yogi Adityanath
The death threat against Yogi Adityanath referenced Baba Siddiqui, a prominent NCP leader. Tragically, Siddiqui was shot dead outside his son’s office on October 12. This murder, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, stirred unrest across Maharashtra. This chilling connection heightens concerns as the Maharashtra Assembly Election approaches, underscoring the serious implications for public safety and political campaigning.
Yogi Adityanath’s Likely Campaign Role in Maharashtra Assembly Election
UP CM Yogi Adityanath is a star campaigner for the BJP. His rallies and speeches typically attract large crowds, significantly boosting the BJP’s appeal. However, if this threat causes Yogi Adityanath to limit his campaign activities in Maharashtra, it may affect the BJP’s influence for the Mahayuti alliance, which consists of the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP in the Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024.
However, with heightened security in place, it seems unlikely that he will withdraw from his campaign activities. He is recogniesd for his resilience in not yielding to threats and pressures from individuals like Lawrence Bishnoi and others.
