Anjali Chauhan: Famous YouTuber and social media influencer from Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh Anjali Chauhan has made serious allegations against her ex-boyfriend Vicky Sharma. Chauhan, who has millions of YouTube subscribers and a huge online following, in a police complaint, alleged that Sharma blackmailed her and cheated her of Rs 1.55 lakh.
Threats and Extortion
According to True Story report the problem for Chauhan started when Sharma threatened to release her private photos and call recordings if she did not pay. Scared of embarrassment from the exposure of personal data, Chauhan complied and initially parted with Rs 95,000. Subsequently, Sharma started demanding more and more money; he also allegedly bought a new mobile phone for himself, worth Rs 60,000.
That the ordeal began in their relationship when Sharma allegedly started recording their phone talks without her knowledge, and that when the affair turned sour, he used these recordings and her private photos as blackmail leverage to extort money from her. That her fear of having her private details exposed drove her to continue succumbing to Sharma’s demands, finally amounting to Rs 1.55 lakh.
Anjali Chauhan Reports Blackmail and Fraud to Authorities
Chauhan has lodged an FIR, explaining to the police all the acts of blackmailing, and fraud she was put through. She further said that though her original complaint has some of the inflated claims as per the advice of her lawyer, she has, however, filed a fresh up-to-date complaint with the consent of her lawyer and is respective of being put into action within a short span.
The police have filed a case against Sharma on the complaint by Chauhan. Investigation is in order as the gathering of concrete evidence to support the complaint by the influencer should be predetermined. The type of a case filed and other legal processes would follow suit after the investigation was done and evidence adduced.
