2025 Honda CR-V Hydrogen: Honda presented the CR-V, a vehicle that would use hydrogen fuel cells and go on sale in Japan later this year. Naturally, it isn’t fully visible because the prototype is covered in a camouflage wrap. The CR-V will essentially resemble the current petrol and hybrid variants in form, which is not surprising.
2025 Honda CR-V Hydrogen: All we know
The hydrogen fuel cell in the CR-V FCEV is designed to run the vehicle by transforming compressed gas into electrical power. But what distinguishes it from other hydrogen fuel cell cars is the plug-in lithium-ion battery pack. It will operate in a manner similar to a plug-in hybrid, minus the petrol component.
This indicates that the CR-V will be able to operate only on that battery before the dual H2 tanks activate for an as-yet-undetermined amount of miles.
Can power small appliances as well
There will be power export features available for the CR-V. A driver is shown in the following video setting up a portable coffee maker in the car as they take a break from touring Japan’s beautiful seashore scenery.
