5G Services: Why You Can’t See The 5G Network Connectivity On Your Smartphone?

5G Services: Even though 5G was introduced in India, your smartphone is still not receiving a 5G network signal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi formally introduced the 5G network at the India Mobile Congress 2022, and the nation’s two largest telecom providers, Airtel and Jio, have already begun to roll out the new mobile network in major locations. Smartphone users are expressing concern that they cannot see the 5G network signal on their devices even though the 5G network is now officially accessible throughout the nation. There are several reasons you cannot receive a 5G network signal on your smartphone since we are still in the early stages of the country’s 5G launch.

Here are a few primary causes:

Your smartphone does not allow 5G

You must enable the 5G network on your smartphone by going into Settings. However, this won’t help you with your issue. Additionally, your smartphone maker must install an OTA update on your handset to enable 5G. You should soon start receiving updates for your smartphone because 5G is now accessible in India and selected cities.

5G is not supported by your smartphone

To connect to the 5G network, you require a 5G smartphone. It will not be possible for your smartphone to connect to the 5G network if it lacks 5G bands. You may check the OEM’s website or the settings menu on your smartphone to ensure that it supports the 5G network.

Might be that 5G is not available in your area

Airtel launches a 5G network only in a few cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi, Kolkata, Chennai, Siliguri, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. And Currently, Jio 5G is only available in tier 1 cities.

No 5G tariffs available

You need a separate 5G tariff to activate the 5G network on your smartphone, just like 3G and 4G networks previously had multiple tariff plans. The businesses claim to maintain rates comparable to the 4G tariffs even though they have not yet disclosed their 5G tariff plans.
