After ChatGPT, Google Launches Gemini Mobile App in India with Multilingual Support

Google's Gemini app is a significant advancement in AI technology, offering a wide range of features and multilingual support.

Gemini App

Google released its latest AI assistant app, Gemini, in India in response to ChatGPT‘s success. Sundar Pichai, the CEO, unveiled the news on X, formerly known as Twitter. With its wide range of features and compatibility for several Indian languages, it is poised to completely transform user engagement.

“Today, we’re launching the Gemini mobile app in India, available in English and 9 Indian languages,” Pichai shared.

Multilingual Capabilities for Enhanced User Experience

Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu are all supported languages by Gemini. To get the help they require, users can submit an image, speak, or type. Gemini is therefore a flexible tool for a wide range of users. For instance, you could snap a photo of a flat tyre to get repair instructions, or you could ask for assistance in writing the ideal thank-you card.

Advanced Features and Capabilities

Gemini Advanced, powered by the Gemini 1.5 Pro AI model, is built to effectively handle challenging tasks. Up to 1500 pages of documents can be uploaded, 100 emails can be summarised, and large amounts of data from spreadsheets like Google Sheets and Excel can analysed by users. The app can convert data into interactive charts and graphs and offer rapid summaries, tailored feedback, and actionable insights.

Integration with Google Messages

The integration of Gemini with Google Messages is one of its most notable features. This allows users draft messages, brainstorm ideas, and schedule activities without ever leaving the Messages app. It was first released in English. Improving communication and productivity is the goal of this smooth integration.

Expanding AI Capabilities

In addition to standard tasks like setting timers, making calls, and setting reminders via voice commands, Gemini offers new data analysis capabilities and the ability to generate images on the fly. This makes it a powerful tool for both personal and professional use.
