Google Photos: Google is releasing a powerful suite of AI-powered photo editing tools to Google Photos customers throughout the globe. A collection of state-of-the-art tools including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Portrait Light, and Magic Editor will be made available to all users starting in May. Read on to know more.
AI features coming to Google Photos for free
According to Google, all Android smartphones running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later (iOS 15 and above for iPhones) with a 64-bit processor, at least 3GB of RAM, and these specifications will begin receiving Google’s AI tools.
All devices that satisfy the basic requirements will progressively receive these tools beginning on May 15 and continuing through the ensuing weeks. To help you take picture-perfect photos, keep an eye out for them on Google Photos.
Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Colour Pop, HDR effects, Portrait Blur, Portrait Light, Cinematic Photos, Collage Editor Styles, and much more are available.
There is one catch
There’s a catch, though, Magic Editor will have some restrictions for users who don’t have Pixels, even though the fundamental editing capabilities will remain free. To be more precise, the monthly allotment of Magic Editor “saves” for free users is 10. You will want a Pixel device or a Premium Google One plan with a capacity of 2TB or more to get beyond that.
