Amazon: According to a report by CNBC, A representative for Amazon stated that the company is experimenting with generative AI and is launching an AI tool that can respond to questions from customers regarding a product. Read on to know more about this AI tool.
Amazon’s new AI tool
Users of the Amazon mobile app are now prompted to ask questions about a certain item by a new feature. After that, it responds in a matter of seconds, mostly by summarising data gathered from product reviews and the listing itself.
This feature could prevent customers from browsing through listings or scrolling through pages of reviews in search of product details.
Though it cannot maintain a conversation, Amazon’s new feature can react to creative suggestions.
Amazon ‘AI Ready’ initiative
Amazon unveiled its “AI Ready” programme, which aims to give two million people free artificial intelligence skill training by 2025. The programme offers eight brand-new, free AI and generative AI courses. It is supported by a recent AWS study that highlights the need for AI expertise and the possibility of large pay increases. The change involves a partnership with Code.org and the introduction of the AWS Generative AI Scholarship.
