Amazon Prime Day Sale 2023: During the Prime Day sale that was held on July 15 and 16 for Prime members of Amazon India, the business sold a large appliance every two seconds, around five cellphones every second, and roughly two toys every second.
“Amazon Business witnessed a 56 per cent sales growth (versus Prime Day 2022), including two times growth in electronics, 1.7 times growth in office furniture and 1.4 times growth in kitchen products and appliances,” the company said.

According to the company, “Prime members from across 98 per cent pin codes of India shopped most for front load washing machines, headphones, apparel, shoes, luxury beauty products, smartphones, baby products and much more from leading brands.”
“This Prime Day, approximately five smartphones were sold every second with 70 per cent of the demand coming from Tier 2 and 3 cities. Foldable smartphones grew 25 times and (there was) an overwhelming response from Prime members on the newly launched smartphones.” The company added
With an average of 1.8 sold every second, toys had their best-ever single day of sales. The sale has seen a twofold increase in sales of kitchen and home goods.
During this Prime Day event, according to Amazon, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) got 20 orders every second. Orders from more than 19,000 Indian pin codes were placed with over 90,000 SMB merchants.
In comparison to Prime Day 2022, Amazon Business had a 56% increase in sales, which included a 2x increase in electronic sales, a 1.7x increase in office furniture sales, and a 1.4x increase in kitchen goods and appliances sales.
