Anand Mahindra on NEOM

“Project @NEOM, envisioned by HRH Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, seemed to most to be just a figment of the imagination. Something out of a George Lucas dreamscape. But after meeting Nadhmi Al-Nasr, the CEO of NEOM (I would define him as No-Nonsense Nadhmi!), I realised that under his steerage they are actually pulling this off. As the months and years go by, the world will recognise that NEOM is not just a mirage in the desert,” Anand Mahindra posted on X, formerly Twitter.

What is NEOM?

This city will have no roads and no cars. In this metropolis, high-speed trains will be used to get from one location to another. This metropolis will be powered entirely by renewable energy and emit zero carbon emissions. Saudi Arabia intends to construct a 170-kilometre-long ultramodern city in a rocky desert. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made the announcement in 2017.

According to sources, this city is being built on the Red Sea’s shores in Tabuk state. This city has been dubbed Neom City. This metropolis is expected to be completed by 2026. This city is being portrayed as the city of the future, where mankind will evolve. The city could cost $500 billion to complete.
