Anand Mahindra today shared a video with the caption “Completely plugged in… And yet, Completely disconnected. If this is the future, then it’s a nightmare….” In the video, we see a man who is most probably at a cinema hall recording another man who is some kind of an electric unicycle and is wearing the Apple Vision Pro’s. The man can be seen carrying a large tub of popcorn and a drink. The person recording the video can be heard being amazed by his view.
Anand Mahindra‘s views on the video do point light the fact that Vision Pro will disconnect people from the world. People are already disconnected from the world on some level thanks to their smartphones and other gadgets, Vision Pro which aims to erase the line between the real world and the virtual world might worsen the situation.
As of right now, the Vision Pro is extremely costly for everyone to get their hands on it. We expect other companies to follow the trend and come out with cheaper alternatives. That is when we will see if we lead ourselves into the world that we saw in the Dinsey movie “Wall-E'”.
