According to The Verge, Android users typically need to use third-party software or type certain commands to check their battery health, although iPhone users have long had the option to do so from the Settings app.

However, according to the Android Authority study, third-party apps can only begin collecting data if they are installed months or years after the device was first set up, whereas the Android operating system begins gathering various battery-related facts from the first boot.

What is a charge cycle?

A charge cycle, which has nothing to do with how many times you charge a battery, is when the battery uses all of its power, from 0 to 100. A charge cycle occurs when you use 80% of your phone’s battery at this point, fully charge it, and then use 20% of the fully charged battery.
