When are the products put on the list by Apple?
An ongoing iPhone, iPad, or Mac gets software upgrades for at least five years, which makes it distinguishable from a classic product that does not receive regular software updates. As per Apple, “Products are considered vintage when Apple stopped distributing them for sale more than five and less than seven years ago.”
The tech giant provides information on outdated products, “Products are considered when Apple stopped distributing them for sale more than seven years ago.”
This means that outdated items won’t receive any form of update, and more significantly, the corporation won’t even attempt to fix or maintain them.
