Apple iOS 17.3 to introduce important features like stolen device protection and more, Details

Apple iOS 17.3: With the public release of iOS 17.3 expected to occur the following week, Apple has officially stated that users of iPhones will be able to enjoy new features including collaborative Apple Music playlists and stolen device protection. In this article, we will tell you all we know about the upcoming update.

Apple iOS 17.3: What’s new?

Stolen Device Protection, a security feature that adds an extra layer of protection in the unlikely event that someone takes your iPhone and also manages to get your passcode, is the most eagerly awaited addition to iOS.

Before carrying out sensitive tasks like accessing passwords or passkeys saved in iCloud Keychain, using pre-saved payment methods in Safari, and engaging in specific Apple Cash and Apple Card Savings activities in the Wallet app, such as transferring money to your bank account, Stolen Device Protection mandates the use of Face ID or Touch ID.

There will also be a security delay if you modify some Apple ID security settings, such as deleting a trusted device or phone number, changing your Apple ID password, or turning off Find My.

Other highlights of iOS 17.3 include a new Unity Bloom wallpaper designed to go with Apple’s newest Black Unity Collection watchbands, as well as a new Collaborative Playlists option that allows several users to update an Apple Music playlist and respond to songs with animated emoji.
