Apple iOS 17.4: Together with the macOS 14.4 beta 2, watchOS 10.4 beta 2, and tvOS 17.4 beta 2 updates, Apple has also made the iOS 17.4 beta 2 available to developers. In the meantime, it is anticipated that all customers will receive the stable version of the update in March. The goal of iOS 17.4 is to assist Apple in meeting the requirements of the Digital Markets Act in 27 nations that are members of the European Union.

Choosing Default Browser
Users of iPhones can now select their preferred browser from a pop-up message in Safari. Users can now utilise other browsers, such as Firefox or Chrome, that are powered by engines other than WebKit.
Alternative app store for iPhones
iPhone users can now download apps from stores other than the App Store, including Epic Games Store, for the first time. This is a consequence of Apple being found guilty of antitrust violations by the EU.
Payment options
Users of iPhones can now make in-app payments with alternatives to Apple Pay, such PayPal or Venmo, thanks to the latest iOS 17.4 beta. They can also configure their wallet and NFC apps to open by default while using Apple Pay.
Notarization for iOS apps
In an effort to combat possible virus fraud, scams, and malicious information, Apple is also adding a new security feature for iOS apps called Notarization. The new feature, baseline review, is available to all applications and aims to safeguard users by combining human and machine review processes.
