Apple iOS 17: Apple unveiled the first glimpse of iOS 17 at its annual WWDC 2023 event. This time, Apple has made numerous improvements to the phone and messaging apps. Along with the new Journal app, iOS 17 introduced standby mode. Offline Maps is also coming to iOS. In this article, we will share the most interesting features that will be launching with iOS 17. Apple iOS 17 features
Namedrop
Users will be able to effortlessly share contact information with other devices by holding them close using the new NameDrop feature. With the help of the SharePlay API, even large-sized photographs and videos may now be shared, simply by bringing the devices closer together.
Journal App
In iOS 17, Apple provides its own Journal App. This allows users to track and record their everyday activities and ideas in a log. Journal, a new iPhone app, will be released by the end of the year. Journals use on-screen technologies to make recommendations based on the user’s habits.
New languages
Siri can be used in any language other than English, including Tamil, Punjabi, and Marathi. Apart from that, with the upcoming iOS 17 upgrade, you will be able to use different ringtones for different SIMs.
Updates for message app
In iOS 17, new filters will be added to the Message app. Users will be able to simply search for anything using these criteria. iOS 17 will now transcribe audio messages.
Standby mode
The iOS 17 upgrade will include a new feature that will allow more items to be shown on the locked iPhone screen while charging. While charging, this new standby mode will transform the screen into a smart display. Aside from the time and date, it will also display live activity and visits. Siri can now be summoned simply by saying “Hey Siri!” There is also no need to speak. The phone will automatically switch to standby mode while horizontally charging.
