Apple iPhone 14 Series users report unexpected battery degradation
According to a tweet from Sam Kohl of AppleTrack, who was cited by The Verge, the maximum battery capacity of his iPhone 14 Pro fell to 90%. The article also included a remark from Joanna Stern, the tech columnist for the Wall Street Journal, who asserts in her newsletter and on Twitter that her iPhone 14 Pro has a battery capacity of 88% after less than a year of use.

This battery deterioration issue has not yet received an explanation from Apple, and it is not yet known whether it affects a large number of devices or just a small selection.
After 500 complete charge cycles, Apple claims that iPhone batteries should still have up to 80% of their initial capacity. Nevertheless, based on these preliminary assessments, it appears that significant degradation is already happening before it reaches that threshold.
