Apple iPhone 14: Apple has given current iPhone 14 users an extra year of free access to its life-saving Emergency SOS satellite programme. This technology was first made available on all iPhone 14 models in the United States and Canada. It has since been added to the iPhone 15 lineup in 16 more countries and regions.
Apple iPhone 14 gets one more year of emergency SOS via Satellite feature for free
The Emergency SOS via satellite feature for iPhone 14 customers will now last an additional year, as the iPhone maker revealed in a press release. Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, said, “We are so happy iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 users can take advantage of this groundbreaking service for two more years for free.”
Apple claims that owners of the iPhone 14 who activated their smartphone before November 15, 2023, at 12 a.m. PT (1:30 a.m. IST), in a nation that supports Emergency SOS via satellite, will have their free trial extended. At the moment, the following countries offer Emergency SOS via satellite: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, and the US. When the feature would be available in India is unknown.
