Production to begin in Tamil Nadu
As it doubles down on the “Make in India” campaign, Apple maker Foxconn is prepared to begin local production of the next-generation iPhone 15 at its Sriperumbudur factory close to Tamil Nadu faster than before. This is another push towards the country’s manufacturing aspirations.
In order to reduce the launch-to-availability gap and boost its exports from India to other countries, sources close to the development told IANS that Apple plans to provide locally-assembled iPhone 15 as soon as it is released globally in the middle of next month.
