Apple: One Reddit member, IndependenceLong5230, recently recounted a terrifying story of how Apple‘s SOS feature saved his life during a car accident. This is just one more life-saving event that can be linked to the tech giant’s ingenious technology.
Apple iPhone’s Crash detection feature saves yet another life
IndependenceLong5230 described the deadly vehicle accident in a Reddit post that has now received a lot of attention. He described how the accident left him in a situation where he was unable to call his emergency contacts or get aid right away. This is when the crash detection feature on Apple became useful.
The SOS feature, which immediately called 911 on IndependenceLong5230’s behalf when it noticed the crash, was demonstrated in a screenshot that the user uploaded on the well-known online site. Emergency services’ timely response was vital in ensuring that the injured user received the necessary medical assistance.
IndependenceLong5230’s condition apparently shocked the medics when they got to the accident scene. He was fortunate enough to escape the collision with only minor fractures, considering how severe it was. This is largely due to Apple’s technology rescuing him from certain death.
