Apple launches 24" iMac with M3 chipset, All you need to know

Apple: Apple upgraded their 24′′ iMac with the new M3 chip in addition to the new MacBook Pro models. This update brings a significant improvement over the 2021 model with an M1 chip, boasting 2x quicker performance. The new iMac, according to the manufacturer, is up to 2.5 times faster than the Intel-based model. Read on to learn more about these powerful all-in-one PCs.

The previous model’s appearance is retained in the new 24-inch iMac with M3 CPU, but it does have some performance enhancements. The M3 chip, which is based on the A17 Pro chip found in the Apple iPhone 15 Pro, is said to be twice as fast as the M1 chip. It has an 8-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, and support for up to 24GB of unified RAM.

In addition to being more efficient than the M1 processor that drove its predecessor, Apple’s new M3 chip is produced using 3nm technology. Regarding graphics, the processor provides ray tracing capability on the iMac along with hardware-accelerated mesh shading. Faster machine learning is also made possible with a 16-core neural engine.

With 4.5K resolution and 500 nits of peak brightness, the 24-inch Retina Display that comes with the all-in-one iMac with M3 is impressive. It now includes support for Gigabit Ethernet, up to four USB Type-C ports, two Thunderbolt connections, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. Additionally, a six-speaker system with support for Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio is included, along with a 1080p FaceTime camera. Right out of the box, it runs the most recent version of macOS, Sonoma.
