iOS 17.2 New Features: Apple has recently rolled out the all-new iOS 17.2 update for iPhones compatible with the latest versions. Some reports have suggested that the new update has arrived with some new upgrades and features. One of the most exciting features that the update gets is a journal app which was earlier showcased in Apple’s WWDC event. Journal is an app that will be used to make notes and store important information. Journal App
Apple has finally given a dedicated note-making app for taking notes on iPhones and iPads. This app will allow users to create and organize entries with photos, text, sketches and videos. Users will be also able to customize the look and feel of the journal app and add a passkey to the app for enhanced protection.
Spatial Video Capture
Spatial Video capture is another great feature that arrived with iOS 17.2. Although this feature is limited to iPhone 15 Pro models, it will allow users to use the LiDAR scanner and TrueDepth camera to make high-quality 3D-like videos with depth effects.
Contact Key Verification
The new iOS 17.2 update enhances the security of iMessage and Facetime conversations with the all-new Contact Key Verification feature. This feature allows users to verify the identity of a person with whom they are communicating. Contact Key Verification utilizes end-to-end encryption and cryptographic keys to make this possible.
Enhanced Live Activities
The new iOS 17.2 update has made Live activities more engaging and informative. Users can now easily access the playback controls within Live Activities for podcasts and music. They can even check the information about the progress of their deliveries in real-time and about the ongoing workouts.
Weather App
IOS 17.2 has also added a new feature to the Weather App on the iPhones. The app has a new “Precipitation” feature that allows users to check the rain and snow conditions for the next days. Now the app also features widgets such as next-hour precipitation, sunrise and sunset times and current weather conditions including Feels like, Air quality, wind speed and others.
