ChatGPT

The entry of Artificial Intelligence has revolutionized the way of working across the world. The AI-powered ChatGPT has impressed many with its remarkable capabilities. At the same time, people have started feeling uncertain about their jobs. ChatGPT is also being tested at many different levels. ChatGPT seems to be failing in one such test.

ChatGPT has successfully cleared many prestigious and challenging exams. At the same time, recently it has faced a setback. AI-based language model fails to crack India’s JEE Advanced.

Only 11 questions solved in JEE Advanced

Lakhs of candidates appear in JEE Advanced exam every year and all want to get admission in institutes like IITs and NITs. ChatGPT recently got a negative score in JEE Advanced, despite clearing several exams.

According to media reports, Professor Ram Gopal Rao, former director of IIT Delhi, said that JEE is a rigorous quantitative exam which involves complex statistics.

This exam was presented as an important challenge for ChatGPT. This ultimately resulted in his failure to perform well in the exam and was able to attempt only 11 questions in both the papers of JEE Advanced.

ChatGPT did not perform well in CLAT as well

ChatGPT solved 50.83% questions correctly in CLAT UG exam. It scored the highest marks in English and Current Affairs. It delved into logical reasoning and quantitative questions. The tool faced difficulty in understanding concept-based questions.

Whereas in NEET, where candidates have to answer 180 questions out of 200, ChatGPT made a remarkable effort and answered all 200 questions. However, as per its performance, 359 marks were obtained out of total 800, which is at par with last year’s cut-off marks.
