Ather 450S and Ola S1 Air: Electric vehicle market is a rapidly growing sector of the Automobile market in India, we often see a new EV Startup entering in the sector to try out their fortune, but Ather and its rival Ola can be consdered two of the most dominant players in the Two Wheeler EV market in India, both these companies have recently launched the most affordable products in the segment, so that both the brand can attract a large number of customers towards their offerings, today in this article, we will compare the two recently launched EVs- Ola S1 Air and Ather Energy 450S.
Both these EVs are introduced with the most affordable prices in the segment, and both of these beauties are the greatest rivals of each other, so let’s head towards the in depth comparison of both these EVs.
Powertrain
Ather 450S comes with a 5.4 kWh battery pack which produces the maximum power of 7.2 hp, whereas Ola S1 Air Electric Motor produces 6 hp of peak ower which is slightly less than Ather 450S. Both EVs have a top speed of 90 kmph. Ola S1 accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 3.3 Seconds, on the other side, Atther 450S do the same in 3.9 seconds.
Battery and Range
Ather 450s comes with a 2.9 kWh battery pack which gives the drive range of 115 Km, whereas, the Ola S1 Air is equipped with a 3 kWh battery pack providing the maximum drive range of 125 km.
Ather 450s fully charges with the home charger in the time duration of 8 hours and 36 minutes. On the other hand, Ola claims that Ola S1 Air gets fully charged in just 5 Hours. Ola S1 Air takes less charging time while giving more drive range than Ather 450S. In terms of performance, Ola S1 Air can be a better choice.
Price Details
Talking about the price range of Ola S1 Air, the vehicle comes with the price tag of Rs. 11 lakh (Ex-showroom), while Ather 450s comes with the starting price of Rs. 1.30 lakh (Ex-showroom), there is a signiificant difference between the price of both the vehicles, Ather 450s coming in the higher price range with relatively less drive range and performance, Ola S1 Air can be a hard nut to crack for Ather 450s, though it is to be seen which one performs better in the market.
