ChatGPT 4 vs Google Gemini: Can the just launched LLM compete with OpenAI’s titan? Check out

ChatGPT 4 vs Google Gemini: With the release of Gemini, an AI model that Google claims surpasses ChatGPT, the company is finally ready to make a statement in the AI market after a year of living in OpenAI’s shadow. In this article, we will see if Gemini-based Bard can compete with ChatGPT 4.

Google Gemini

When Google unveiled Gemini at its I/O conference in May, it piqued the interest of all tech fans. The LLM’s multimodal features were one of the things that excited everyone, and people were were eager to use the new LLM.

Google declared Gemini’s release on Wednesday, referring to it as the “most capable and general model they have ever built.” The company also revealed in a blog post that Gemini had outperformed ChatGPT in the majority of benchmark tests. Gemini was introduced in three flavours: Ultra, Pro, and Nano.

ChatGPT 4 vs Google Gemini: Who is better?

To see how well Gemini handles texts, tests were conducted in the following domains: General, Reasoning, Math, and Code. Benchmark tests for images, videos, and audio were carried out to evaluate the LLM’s multimodal capabilities. Furthermore, Gemini has outperformed ChatGPT in every test, with the exception of “HellaSwag,” which is defined as “common sense reasoning for everyday tasks.”

Google wrote in its blog post,” We’ve been rigorously testing our Gemini models and evaluating their performance on a wide variety of tasks. From natural image, audio and video understanding to mathematical reasoning, Gemini Ultra’s performance exceeds current state-of-the-art results on 30 of the 32 widely-used academic benchmarks used in large language model (LLM) research and development.”

it added,” With a score of 90.0%, Gemini Ultra is the first model to outperform human experts on MMLU (massive multitask language understanding), which uses a combination of 57 subjects such as math, physics, history, law, medicine and ethics for testing both world knowledge and problem-solving abilities.”

How are they different?

Similar to previous AI models, such as ChatGPT, the open web was one of the many sources of data utilised to train Gemini. If what was revealed today is any indication, there are a few significant distinctions between the two models that make Gemini AI a more effective and flexible tool.
Gemini AI is trained on real-time internet data, so it may respond to queries with the most recent knowledge. The model is bigger and more powerful than ChatGPT since it was trained on a substantial dataset of text and code. This implies that it is capable of producing material that is more intricate and subtle as well as handling more difficult jobs like translation and summary.
