The report also said that as the ChatGPT is high in demand presently, this job role has a potential earning of up to 2.4 crores.

“They just know how to write,” Greg Beltzer, head of technology at RBC Wealth Management, told the publication. According to Beltzer, the salary structure for professional AI prompt-engineerings are hitting from $175,000 with up to over $300,000 per year. “Being a good AI prompt engineer involves more than being able to ask leading questions. You need to combine the disciplines of AI, programming, language, problem-solving, and even art to thrive on this career path,” he noted.
Future Prospects
As some of the big tech companies such as Amazon and Google are increasingly shifting towards AI, they are laying off people who have acquired traditional skills and hiring people who possess AI-related skills such as Prompt engineering. The ZDNET report also states that soon, the job role of a prompt engineer will be considered more important than a data scientist as their work will be performed by AI itself.
