Elon Musk: Elon Musk‘s company X, formerly known as Twitter, is branching out into a new area after introducing audio and video calls. Elon Musk announced on Saturday that the X platform is launching a streaming service, adding new rivalry to YouTube owned by Google. Users will be able to see lengthy videos on their smart TV screens with the company’s new service.
Elon Musk’s X on Smart TVs
In reaction to a post made by an X user, Musk announced that the company is going to release a TV app for Samsung and Amazon smart TVs. When the user expressed enthusiasm about being able to view long-form X films on SmartTVs, Musk responded, “Coming soon.”
“We just want people to be able to watch long videos in comfort on their big screen TV,” He posted on X. The billionaire further said, “already use Apple AirPlay to play videos from your phone to your TV”.
X’s action is a “strategic step towards diversifying its platform and competing in the ever-evolving digital content landscape,” according to one of his admirers.
Musk’s Plan for X
An “everything app” is what Musk hopes to achieve with the X platform. Apart from smart TVs, the social media platform is also delving into long-form writing, podcasts, and video games.
