Elon Musk: Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, continues to make headlines in the media by offering news organisations a cut of the advertising money made on X, his platform that was once known as Twitter.
X to share revenue with new organisations
IANS reports that Musk has expanded his X advertising income programme to include media organisations in an effort to attract journalists. He tweeted: Our advertising revenue share programme also applies to organisations (news or otherwise) who wish to participate.”
This week, Musk welcomed media outlets to publish directly on X, highlighting the possibility of more revenue. He changed how the platform displayed news stories, removing headlines and text from items that were shared and simply displaying the primary image and URL. He said that the adjustment would improve the look.
In response to user input, Musk has now suggested improving the layout of news stories on X. He imagines publications with just a lead image, the source URL, and a link that may be clicked to access the whole content. This change might make individual postings smaller, enabling users’ timelines to see more content.
