Long-form Article Feature on X: The Elon Musk-owned microblogging platform X, formerly known as Twitter, introduced a new feature which will allow users to create and share long-form articles with their followers. With the help of a new tool, officially called “Article Composer,” which will be accessible in the sidebar on the left side of the interface, X users will be able to create long-form articles on the platform. This feature introduces a basic user interface.

Apart from enabling the creation and sharing of long-form articles, X has incorporated standard formatting options for users like as Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, Bullet Points, and Numbered Lists. Furthermore, the microblogging platform has included the capability to incorporate pictures and videos into their long-form articles.

It is important to recall that Elon Musk initially said in July 2023 that the platform is developing a feature that would let users publish “very long, complex articles with mixed media.” The firm said in a post at the time, “You could publish a book if you want.” Almost eight months later, the function has finally been made available to all users worldwide by the firm.
Long-Form Articles Feature on X: Who Will Benefit
It is important to note that not every user has the acessibility to publish long-form articles. According to X, only Premium+ subscribers and Verified Organizations will be able to produce and publish long-form content on X.
For those who are unaware, Prior to this, X customers has the option to only choose between the Basic and Premium tiers. But the company also introduced a third Premium Plus category later in the year, which came with additional features and a higher price tag. For the web, the monthly Premium Plus membership is Rs 1,300, while the annual plan is Rs 13,600. In contrast, the annual package costs Rs 6,800, while the monthly plan for the web’s Premium tier costs just Rs 650.
