Google Chrome: Memory Saver and Energy Saver are the names of two new performance modes that Google has introduced for the desktop version of the Chrome web browser.
Increase battery life
An article that was recently published by The Verge, a technology news website run by Google claims that these new modes will enable users to reduce Chrome’s memory usage by up to 30 percent and increase battery life when a device is running low on power.
The elimination of inactive tabs in the memory-saving mode ought to result in an enhancement of the user’s overall browsing experience. In addition, users have the ability to exclude essential websites from memory savings, allowing them to continue operating at optimal levels.
According to The Verge, when the battery life of a device running Chrome is down to 20 percent, switching to Energy Saver mode will maximize the possible amount of battery life by lowering the amount of background activity and visual effects on webpages that contain animations or movies.
