Google Pixel 7 & 7 Pro: Google is scheduled to introduce its new Pixel 7 line of smartphones on October 6 with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Google first unveiled the Pixel 7 series earlier this year at its Google I/O 2022 event.
According to reports, Google hasn’t previously released a flagship Pixel phone in India and instead chose to simply make the less costly a-series phones available there, it was unclear whether the Pixel 7-series phones would actually arrive there.
But it is now official that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will certainly arrive in India. Both of the new Pixel 7 phones have a “coming soon” poster on a new microsite on Flipkart India, indicating that they may be made available in India next month along with the global launch.
What to anticipate from the Pixel 7 series?
With a raised camera visor bar that runs horizontally across the top of the phone, similar to the Pixel 6 series, Google has opted for a similar design for the forthcoming Pixel 7 series. Unlike the all-black bars on the Pixel 6 series, the bar now has a metallic appearance, making the cameras stand out.
Both of the new Pixels are anticipated to be powered by the Tensor G2 chip, which will replace the Tensor chip seen in the Pixel 6-series as Google’s second internal smartphone chip. “More useful, personalised features to images, videos, security, and speech recognition,” according to Google, will be offered by the new hardware.
Other anticipated features include 50MP cameras, Android 13 and 120Hz displays, though Google will provide more specific information on October 6, the day of launch.
