Google Play Store: Tech Giant Google has added a new feature to Google Play Protect. The new feature has made Play Protect capable of scanning real time threats from unknown apps. The new Google Play Protect feature scans for malware, adware and more in the phone and protects your data and device both.
The new Play Protect feature was first explored by Mishaal Rahman, who then explained the feature in details in his X Post.

Now, whenever you will install any app from an unknown source other than Google Plays Store, Play Protect will ask you to submit the app to Google for scanning. Google Play Protect will perform real time analysis of the unknown app. But, it is still not known how or on which parameters the Google will check these unknown apps.
These new changes are rolling out to Google Play Store version 37.5. The app will be automatically updated in your phone and android users will soon see the changes to their Play Protect and Play Store. Google Play Protect is a crucial tool for any android smartphone, it protects your device from any attack and threats when you sideload applications.
Google has now become more proactive for the security of android user, the new Play Protect feature is an admirable change that will improve the security and privacy of the android ecosystem.
