Google Play Store: A suspected pakistani cyberpunk named “Transparent Triber” is found using malicious android apps which looks similar to YouTube to outspread the CapraRAT mobile remote access trojan (RAT). According to SentinelOne, the CapraRAT toolkit is aimed to for surveillance against phishing targets related to affairs involving Kashmir. The company’s research team said that CapraRAT may be based on AndroRAT source code.

“Transparent Triber” like hacker groups are known for targeting diplamatic and military personnel in Pakistan and India. As per experts, CapraRAT is a a highly invasive tool that gives the hacker control of almost all the data on the android smartphone.

CapraRAT is an android based frame work which hides RAT features inside the apps, these apps are not available on Google Play Store, hackers lure users to sideload these apps in their devices. Transparent Tribe hackers spread these android app on some self operated websites. Usually these apps are found to be a fake version of popular android apps.
