Google: To reflect the fact that the app is now only available on Pixel devices, Google has changed the name of its camera app from “Google Camera” to “Pixel Camera” in the Play Store. The change is probably a result of the app’s long-standing exclusivity for Pixel devices.

Along with the name change, the Pixel Camera app now has a new user interface and a number of additional capabilities, including portrait, night sight, Time Lapse, and Cinematic Blur. It should be noted that these functionalities are only accessible on Pixel devices running Android 14 and higher.
The new Google Pixel Camera app is only accessible on devices running Android 14. Additionally, Wear OS devices running Wear OS 3 and higher are the only ones that support the Wear OS version. You must also maintain a connection between Pixel smartphones and Wear OS devices.
The “Pixel 8 Pro Features” are being highlighted by Google in the Pixel Camera app listing, which is interesting. Those features include Pro Controls and 50MP High Res Capture. Also taken from the Pixel 8 Pro are screenshots of the app in the Google Play Store.
