Google Play Store: Google has announced a new real time scanning feature on Google Play Protect to improve the android device’s security and to fight android malware which will eventually make it harder for malicious apps to expose the device’s security.
The new Google Play security feature performs security scan on the android device frequently and detects malware activities and malicious apps installed in the smartphone.
Real-time scan feature alerts user whenever it detects any malicious activity in an application, if users are installing any malicious app, it warns user to not proceed with the installlation.
The new feature also works for apps which users install from Google Play Store and sideload from third party sources.
Google has pushed the new feature taking note of threat actors have adopted to using AI and polymorphic malware to surpass automated security wich makes the scans ineffective .
When users install sideloaded apps or any malicious apps from Play Store, they pull additional code from remote severs to fulfil their purpose.
