Google: Google on Tuesday revealed stronger connectivity between its AI chatbot Bard and services like YouTube, Google Docs, and Gmail, among others. Users may now use Bard alongside Google apps and services, double-check its responses, and access capabilities in new places. According to the tech titan, this is Bard’s “most capable model” ever. Bard connects with Google apps and services to provide more useful results.
Google integrates Bard with Apps
According to Google, this is “a completely new way to interact and collaborate with Bard.” Bard may receive relevant information from all the other Google products you undoubtedly use on a daily basis, such as Gmail, Docs, Drive, Maps, YouTube, and even Google Flights and Hotels, by using Extensions.
This information retrieval works even when it is spread across numerous apps and services. For example, Google utilises organising a trip with your friends – Bard can pull the dates that work for everyone from Gmail, search up real-time hotel and flight information, show you Google Maps directions to the airport, and show you YouTube videos of ideas to do once you there. All of this can happen in a single chat with Bard.
Google’s latest step comes after Microsoft announced intentions to integrate ChatGPT into its Office suite of apps in March.
Privacy concerns
If you are concerned about your privacy, Google emphasises that the content from Gmail, Docs, and Drive that Bard accesses is not seen by human reviewers, is not used by Bard to serve you ads, and is not used to train the Bard model.
