- After updating WhatsApp, open the app
- Open the chat you want to search for messages by date
- Tap on the name of the person at the top
- Tap Search, which is next to the Pay button
- Now, you can either search by typing keywords directly, or you can search for older messages by date, month, and year. To do the latter, tap the Calendar button just above your keyboard
- Select the date, month and year
- Finally, tap on Jump to date
